The C8486 combo board is made for all Satellite, IPTV or Cable Re Broadcasters, struggling with sync and loudness issues when re- broadcasting incoming signals.

It is a combo card with one SDI or HD/SDI interface combined with one DSP unit doing automatically individual audio Loudness processing. It is designed for digital satellite TV, IPTV and Cable operations where SDI based incoming signals have widely varying levels and don’t match a uniform synchronisation.

Each C8486 card combines one SD or HD/SDI interface, capable of handling 4 or 8 channels SDI streams and one LEVEL MAGIC DSP to handle the Loudness Control.

The LEVEL MAGIC Processor responsible for this Automatic Non Destructive Normalization process works with a Multi loop simultaneous combination of slow changes (AGC like) fast changes (Transient processing) and Look ahead limiter management for Carefree processing of non-locked SDI streams.

You can stack up to 16 different C8486 cards in our C8942 Frame. You don’t need to worry about the level issues, our embedded algorithm Level Magic will handle this automatically, performing automated loudness control of digital audio signals regardless the input levels, nor care about synchronization each channel being treated independently from the others and not put on the internal bus of the frame, thus avoiding the necessity of a synchronisation.

The unit is easy to operate via a simple Web interface and requires only a limited number of settings to be made once and for all at the beginning to achieve optimum results. After that, Level Magic controls your dynamics automatically, without colouring the sound, and free of pumping, breathing, distortion or modulation effects.
